History and traditions
since 1939
The factory, where the production of Jiten Dar began, was established in 1939 under the name “ Happiness”. The founder was Stefan Todorov, who laid the foundations of taxi services in our country.

In 1947, the factory was nationalized and renamed DIP “Malchika”. At that time, the factory was the largest in Bulgaria, with the richest product range of chocolate and confectionery products.

The beginning of wafer and biscuit production was set in 1964, when the history of the beloved Jiten Dar biscuits also began.

Recipe for success

In 1991, the company ShZI “Sofia” was established, still the largest producer of chocolate and confectionery in Bulgaria. Three years later, in 1994, Nestlé Switzerland purchased ShZI “Sofia” after a competition for a buyer.

In the following years, Nestlé continued to sell Jiten Dar biscuits by adding its logo to the packaging and updating the design several times.

In 2020, Interfoods Bulgaria became the new owner of the brand, after which it improved the quality of the product and modernized the packaging.

The story of Jiten Dar does not end here. Interfoods Bulgaria plans a long and worthy future for this emblematic brand for the Bulgarian market. It takes the first step in 2022, when it introduces the new category for Jiten Dar – oat biscuits.

Made from high-quality natural ingredients and superfoods, in 7 different variations, the new irresistible biscuits provide high quality and a wide choice, meeting the taste of the modern consumer.
The surprises are yet to come!
